Welcome Our New Principal

#
Dear St. Mary’s All-Star families,

In my short time with the St. Mary’s Cathedral School family, I have been welcomed with open arms. I am excited and honored to be named as the next principal of the Cathedral School family following in the footsteps of our current principal, Sr. Michelle Fernandez and several other great leaders. I am thankful to Dr. Pryzbylski, Fr. Marino, and the search committee for entrusting me with the leadership of our school.

I came to St. Mary’s Cathedral School from Monsignor Edward Pace High School in Miami, where I served as a teacher, department chair, and as Activities and Admissions director for a total of seventeen years. I have earned a bachelor’s degree from American Intercontinental University, where I studied Information Technology, and a master’s degree in Educational Administration from St. Thomas University. I have served on Catholic school advisory boards and have participated in educational projects via the Archdiocese of Miami.

I am a product of Catholic education having attended Immaculate Conception Catholic School for elementary, Monsignor Pace High School for my secondary education, and St. Thomas University for my master’s degree. I have been an active member of my parish community, Immaculate Conception, for over 30 years and have immersed myself within our own Cathedral parish life during my time with SMCS.

I am dedicated to working in Catholic schools to help children grow academically and spiritually. We are charged with the mission of educating our children mind, body and spirit to form the whole child. I am excited to bring my gifts and talents to this new position to help our school thrive and grow. In addition to my work as an educator, I enjoy graphic design, travel, fitness, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with my family and friends.

I look forward to strengthening our relationship with each other as we continue to provide a quality Catholic education in a safe and nurturing family-oriented environment for the children of St. Mary’s. Cathedral School. Keep us in your prayers as we search for our other administrators in the coming weeks. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, feedback, or just to say hello. I am here for you!

Together we will take our school to the next level! Go All-Stars! May God’s blessing be forever with you and your family.

Yours in Christ,

Eduardo L. Flor, M.S.Ed. Principal
