Our library is home to over ___________________________ titles in a variety of genres. The students at SMCS are able to check out books on a weekly basis according to their Lexile Reading Level. Lexile levels are determined by the results of the Star Test at the beginning of each year. With the help of the classroom teacher, students establish reading goals per quarter, read books, and take Accelerated Reader Quizzes (AR). The teacher then tracks their progress towards goals.
